This Family Owned & Operated dealership group is seeking an experienced and dedicated Mid-Size Truck Technician with specialized expertise in diesel engines to join thier dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, coupled with a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Chevrolet Mid-Sized Truck Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic procedures to accurately identify issues with diesel engines and related systems in mid-size trucks.
  • Execute repairs and maintenance tasks on diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, and other critical components.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles are in peak operational condition and meet all safety standards.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring accurate documentation for each vehicle serviced.
  • Collaborate with other team members and service advisors to prioritize and complete repair orders promptly and accurately.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.

Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal diesel technician training program is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel technician, specifically working with mid-size trucks.
  • Extensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel injection, turbochargers, emissions control, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software used for diesel engine repair and maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers and team members.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in diesel engines is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
